Work at SuperSaaS

Thousands of people use SuperSaaS every day but we are a few employees short.

Creating a great appointment scheduling product is harder than it may appear to the casual observer

To calculate the availability for an appointment you need to take into account dozens of conditions such as opening hours, existing appointments and linked calendars. And the result needs to be presented in 34 different languages, multiple time zones and needs to look good on a variety of devices. Furthermore, scaling it to work reliably for millions of views per day is not trivial.

The usability and the quality of the algorithms we use make a big difference to our business success. SuperSaaS looks for candidates who enjoy working for a rapidly growing company and are passionate about creating great software using cutting edge technology.

Senior Full stack developer (Rails / JavaScript) — Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Job description

We aim to provide the very best software product, so we are looking for someone who is at the top of their field and writes DRY, elegant code. We consider top-tier coding an art form, and treat programmers with the respect they deserve. Software runs through our veins: the founder of our company is also a developer and still commits regularly.

Our customers love our product but we strive to improve continually as we serve an ever-expanding client base. Although your work will focus on the front-end, we expect all developers to be well-rounded technically. So you will be working on all aspects of the site, from scaling the back-end to building a better front-end for mobile devices. Because we are a small team, and because we think it’s a good idea, you will be expected to occasionally help out with operational roles from upgrading servers to answering support mail.

You have the freedom to choose a work location where you can be most productive; we expect to see you in the office in Amsterdam at least two days per week.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience with most of the technologies in our stack: Ruby 2.5, Rails 5.2, JavaScript, Ubuntu, MySQL
  • Technically well rounded; we expect you to enjoy picking up new technologies and experiment with them to determine whether they can help our business
  • Software, and technology in general, is a passion for you, not just a way to earn a living
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have

  • Affinity with ops; we manage our own hardware infrastructure and, although it would only be a small part of your work, we like to have multiple team members with ops affinity
  • Cross platform / cross browser development experience

We offer

  • Above average remuneration
  • Time to contribute to open source projects
  • Free, organic daily lunch and bi-weekly massages
  • The latest model MacBook Pro with additional 30" monitor
  • A great office along the canals in Amsterdam’s historic city center
  • Fun, innovative, entrepreneurial, and rewarding job environment
